Illinois Section AWWA – Education Committee
The Education Committee is dedicated to the development and delivery of low cost and convenient educational seminars for water industry professionals. We do this by developing numerous seminar topics, then soliciting volunteers to present these topics to industry professionals. Seminars are held throughout the year in several locations throughout the state. This can only be accomplished by topic ideas generated from the Committee Members and Water Industry Professionals. Committee members then volunteer to find and work with presenters and develop the topic content, seminar date and seminar locations.
Another responsibility includes monitoring attendance and assisting the Education Coordinator with the distribution of Contact Hours. This is done by volunteer of the committee members. The monitor of the seminar receives free attendance of the seminar and obtains Contact Hours.
Education is delivered via: in person training, live and archived webinars, DVD's, hands-on workshops, and home study courses. To register for training seminars, please select TRAINING on the menu on the left side of the screen. If you do not want to register online you can simply select in the drop down box at top of page PRINT AND FAX FORMS.
Finally, we develop the Operator’s Track at WATERCON to be held at the start of the annual conference. This is done in the same manner as the seminars. Committee members and water industry professionals provide topics for the operator's presentations and develop them with presenters.
