Description: The Water Audit Spreadsheet based tool contains worksheets in a spreadsheet file used to help track water usage and calculate levels of performance for tracking water losses. Instructions for using the spreadsheet tool are included in the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet prompts the user to enter standard water supply information such as the volume of water supplied, customer consumption (metered and unmetered), quantities of losses, and other distribution data used to calculate the operational efficiency indicators.

Knowing that many water utilities don’t typically tabulate all of this data, the spreadsheet allows the user to enter either known (measured) or estimated (quantities that must be approximated) values. There is a grading matrix available that helps establish the confidence of the data entered. The software then calculates a variety of performance indicators which are useful in making performance comparisons among water utilities as well as help with short term and long range planning.

This 1 hour webinar will review the spreadsheet-based water audit tool which is designed to help quantify and track water losses associated with water distribution systems and identify areas for improved efficiency and cost recovery.

The software can be downloaded for free HERE - click on the link to view the terms of acceptance of use, click at the bottom of that form, and then agree to terms of use....and an excel spreadsheet will open and you can save it to your hard drive.

Cost: Illinois Section AWWA Members: FREE; Nonmembers: $30.00
