Summary: A detailed overview of energy efficiency rebates available to water and waste water clients as well as programs available to assist organizations in tapping those rebates/incentives. Specific programs include free energy assessments that provide a list of energy efficiency capital improvement projects with a focus on quick paybacks and tapping existing incentives & retro-commissioning studies that provide a list of building optimization improvements to save energy that must have a 18 month or less payback. One incentive targeted specifically at waste water treatment plants is an up to 100% rebate from IL DCEO on the purchase of an aeration turbo blower which can save a plant up to 50% of its overall energy costs. There are also programs to assist municipal clients in filling out there applications and getting their rebates directly administered through the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus & IL Association of County Board Members. Case studies of past projects and all the resources that interested individuals will need to assess/take advantage of the opportunity out there for energy efficiency.
