Summary:A walkthrough of the Illinois Energy Now Programs that benefit wastewater facilities: the Clean Water Energy Efficiency Initiative that covers aeration system upgrades, the Standard/Custom program for energy efficient building retrofits, and the Combined Heat and Power Pilot Program.
Presenter: Pat Brown and Brian Katamay, Pat Brown is a Research Engineer at the Energy Resources Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in atmospheric science, Pat went on to gain several years’ experience conducting energy assessments and is now the program manager for the Public Sector Combined Head and Power Pilot Program. Brian Katamay is a Research Engineer at the Center and works as a program manager for the DCEO’s Boiler System Efficiency Program while providing technical assistance for energy efficiency projects in the public sector.
